Ultraseven is a Japanese tokusatsu science fiction television series created by Eiji Tsuburaya and produced by Tsuburaya Productions. As the third entry in the Ultra Series, the program aired on the Tokyo Broadcasting System from October 1, 1967, to September 8, 1968. The narrative is set in a future where Earth faces constant attacks from extraterrestrial threats. To combat these dangers, the Terrestrial Defense Force establishes the Ultra Garrison, a team of six elite members equipped with high-tech vehicles and weaponry. The story features Dan Moroboshi, a mysterious figure who is secretly an alien from the Land of Light in Nebula M-78. In times of crisis, Moroboshi transforms into his true form, the superhero Ultraseven, to protect the planet. Compared to its predecessor, the series places a greater emphasis on themes of militarism and alien invasions. The show features performances by actors including Koji Moritsugu, Shoji Nakayama, Sandayu Dokumamushi, and Shinsuke Achiwa. It is recognized as a popular classic within the Kyodai Hero genre.
