This lesson, “Faith,” is the foundational session of our core teaching series and focuses on the
central importance of faith in every aspect of life for believers. Faith is defined as confidence
and trust—not in things or organizations—but in Almighty God, the Creator and Sustainer of all
life. Drawing from Hebrews 11:1, it emphasizes that true hope and assurance come from a
relationship with God, whose power is evident in the wonders of creation and the complexities of
life at every scale. The lesson challenges readers to evaluate their own trust in God and to
recognize Him as the only worthy object of faith.
Central to this teaching is the conviction that faith is grounded in the Bible, which is presented as
a divinely inspired, timeless manual for life. The main character of scripture is Jesus Christ,
whose divine nature and redemptive work separate Christianity from all other religions. The
lesson highlights the Bibleʼs reliability, its message of eternal life, and the necessity of applying
biblical truth to every thought, word, and action.
The lesson offers four practical disciplines for living out authentic faith as empowered by the
Holy Spirit:
Consistent prayer in all things
Regular, ongoing study of scripture independently and in groups
Worship through both church fellowship and daily choices
Active witness by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ whenever possible
With faith as the bedrock, this series continues to challenge men to embrace other key areas of
life and become the men God intends them to be through biblically based wisdom and practical
action.
