Man City did something unprecedented in the Premier League

In the reception of Crystal Palace in round 17 of the Premier League, Man City played dominantly and had a 2-goal lead after goals from Jack Grealish (24′), Rico Lewis (54′). However, due to a lack of concentration on defense in the final stages of the match, “The Citizens” were held to a 2-2 draw by their opponents. Palace’s two equalizers came from Jean-Philippe Mateta (76′) and Michael Olise (90+5′ pen).

With this draw, Man City only has 34 points. The Etihad Stadium team is currently ranked 4th, 3 points behind top team Liverpool but has played 1 more match.

This is the first time under coach Pep Guardiola (2016), Man City could not win in 3 consecutive home matches in the Premier League. Liverpool, Tottenham and Crystal Palace all left the Etihad Stadium with 1 point.

Midfielder Jack Grealish scored for the first time in three consecutive Premier League matches, helping Man City take the lead.

In the first half of the recent match, all 10 of Man City’s starting players created opportunities for their teammates to score. “The Citizens” is the first club in Premier League history to do this.

In the last 8 matches in all competitions, Man City could not keep a clean sheet. The total number of goals they conceded was up to 16.
