Announcing an exciting new chapter for TED

Earlier this year, head of TED Chris Anderson shared some big news: after 25 years leading the organization, he was issuing an open invitation to pass on its stewardship to someone new. Now, it’s time for the reveal. In this unedited version of the announcement event, Chris reveals that no less than Sal Khan, founder and CEO of the incredible nonprofit Khan Academy, will be TED’s vision steward (and board member). Chris chats with Sal about the new role (which he’ll hold alongside his current responsibilities as CEO of Khan Academy) and his ideas for what TED might become. They also welcome TED’s new CEO, Logan McClure Davda, who will work alongside Sal to put this vision into action.
