Since the Tower of Babel, the world has been divided up into different “people groups,” divided by language and culture. Jesus’ Great Commission was for us to “in our going” make disciples of all nations. That means some folks have to leave their language and culture to share the Good News “in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth.” Crossing those language and cultural barriers is what has been traditionally meant by “missions.” Does that still apply?
