According to Mr. Stefanchuk, before March 2024, the National Assembly will meet to discuss the legal framework to merge Ukrainian law with EU law. This framework will consist of 35 parts, which will serve as a guide for future Parliamentary work towards EU accession. In addition, the National Assembly will focus on passing laws to bring the Ukrainian army closer to NATO standards. In addition, another important task for 2024 is to develop laws related to the process of military deployment and rotation of military personnel in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that on December 14, leaders of European Union (EU) member countries agreed to open negotiations on the admission of Ukraine. This Eastern European country will need to implement 2,739 legal regulations as it moves towards EU membership.
