On the Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh route of Vietnam Airlines, the number of flights in the pre-Tet period is quite abundant, but no economy class tickets are available for sale. Passengers buying tickets during this period mainly take connecting flights (2 legs) for 5.3-13.3 million/depending on ticket class.

Meanwhile, this route is quite stressful for Vietjet Air as the airline has “sold out” flight tickets from February 2-7, 2024 (ie December 23 to 28). On other days close to Tet, there are still a few tickets on sale for 3.5-4.6 million VND.

Increase night flights to serve people during Tet

According to the Vietnam Aviation Administration, during the 2024 Lunar New Year peak, airlines are expected to supply 5.5 million seats on domestic routes, an increase of 4% over the same period.
