Silly Little Things

by archytele

Our project Silly Little Things, is a material investigation into the relationship of neurodivergent individuals to objects and their self-soothing qualities.

Aiming to increase the understanding of these traits and the effect of objects on neurodiverse people, as well as destigmatize these areas that are often seen as childish.

1. Outside of box: “15-20% of humans are autistic, with dyslexia, Tourettes ADHD and other forms of neurodevelopmental processes.” (SRHE News Blog, 2024)

2. Inside of box: “neurocognitive variants like dyslexia, ADHD and autism are over-represented in the arts and culture above 30% (RCA 2001)” (SRHE News Blog, 2024)
