Overview
Unforgettable is an American police procedural crime drama television series that premiered on CBS on September 20, 2011. Developed by John Bellucci and Ed Redlich, the show stars Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, a former Syracuse, New York, police detective. The series also features Dylan Walsh, James Hiroyuki Liao, and Jane Curtin. Carrie Wells possesses a rare medical condition known as hyperthymesia, which grants her an unusually detailed and photographic memory that allows her to visually remember everything. After being approached by her former boyfriend and partner for assistance with a case, she reluctantly joins the New York City Police Department's Queens homicide unit. This professional move provides her with an opportunity to investigate the one event she has been unable to recall: the day her sister was murdered. Throughout the series, Wells balances her investigative work with her unique condition, including navigating complex personal relationships and professional challenges, such as her involvement with the son of a mob boss. The series concluded in 2016.
