Overview
The Flash is an American superhero television series that aired on The CW from 2014 to 2023. Developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, the program was produced in association with DC Entertainment and the creative team behind the series Arrow. The show stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, a Central City police scientist who gains the power of super speed after being struck by lightning. Following a nine-month coma, Allen adopts the persona of The Flash, known as the Fastest Man Alive. He teams up with S.T.A.R. Labs to protect his city from various supervillains. The series features a recurring cast including Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, and Jesse L. Martin. Over the course of nine seasons, the drama follows Allen and his allies as they engage in high-speed adventures and battle threats to their world.
