Te Sigo Amando is a 1996 drama television series that follows the life of Yulissa Torres‑Quintero, a beautiful young woman from an upper‑class background who was orphaned at a very early age. She and her brother Alberto are raised by their grandmother, Doña Paula Garza vda. de Torres‑Quintero, a cruel matriarch who frequently pretends to be ill in order to manipulate the grandchildren. As the narrative progresses, Doña Paula experiences a reversal of fortune and becomes financially ruined. In an effort to avoid poverty, she decides to mortgage all of her remaining assets to Ignacio Aguirre, the owner of the Arroyo Negro hacienda. This transaction places the family under the control of the landowner and sets the stage for further conflict within the story. The series explores themes of family loyalty, manipulation, and the struggle for survival amid social and economic decline. The arrangement ties the family to the Aguirre estate, creating a precarious alliance that drives much of the series' drama. Both Yulissa and Alberto find themselves caught between their grandmother's manipulations and the new authority of Ignacio Aguirre, forcing them to confront the loss of their former security.
