Mister Maker 2007

Overview

Mister Maker is a pre-school children's arts and crafts programme that first launched in 2007. Commissioned by Michael Carrington at the BBC for CBeebies, the series is produced by The Foundation. The show features Phil Gallagher in the title role of Mister Maker. The programme consists of a mixture of animation and real-time content. In addition to its original broadcast on CBeebies, the series also airs on BBC One and BBC Two. International distribution includes broadcasts on ABC2 in Australia, as well as the Discovery Familia network in the United States and Latin America, where the show is dubbed in Spanish. To date, three series have been commissioned. The success of the original programme led to the creation of a spin-off series titled Mister Maker Comes to Town, which began airing in 2010. The programme remains a notable example of educational children's television programming that encourages creativity through arts and crafts activities presented by the host.
