Overview
The television series Missing is a crime drama that aired on several networks. The series is based on the 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU book series by Meg Cabot. The show follows the story of Jess Mastriani, who after being hit by lightning, begins seeing visions of missing people. Jess decides to use her newfound ability to help locate missing individuals and becomes a consultant to the FBI. She is eventually hired by the bureau full-time and trained to become an agent. The series explores the work of the FBI in locating missing people, a topic also discussed by the FBI on their website, which provides information on kidnappings and missing persons. The show aired on the A-Channel network and W Network in Canada, and on Lifetime in the United States. The series was also known as 1-800-Missing.
