Overview

iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia is a television series set in a world where the Moon was destroyed 107 years ago. This cataclysmic event shattered the Earth's former satellite into 81 quintillion tons of orbital debris, though super-science prevented the destruction of the Earth itself. Over the following century, the disaster has largely faded from public concern. The story follows Haruka Amami, a teenager who auditions for the Idolmaster Project under the impression that she is attempting to become a singing idol. Upon her arrival, she discovers that the project is actually a secret school operated by the Mondenkind Agency. Haruka joins a group of other girls who have been selected as candidates to pilot a machine known as an iDOL. The narrative centers on these candidates as they navigate their new responsibilities within the agency, transitioning from their expectations of an entertainment career to the reality of their roles as pilots in a world shaped by the remnants of the lunar disaster.
