Overview

Gen V is an American satirical superhero television series that premiered in 2023. Developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, the show serves as a spin-off of the series The Boys and is loosely based on the comic book story arc We Gotta Go Now by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins. The narrative is set at America's only college for superheroes, where gifted students compete for the university's top ranking and an opportunity to join The Seven, the elite superhero team managed by Vought International. As the first generation of heroes to know their powers originate from Compound V, these students test their moral boundaries while uncovering dark secrets within the institution. The cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, and London Thor. The series received the Saturn Award for Best Superhero Television Series. Production continues with a second season scheduled for 2025. The show explores the complex choices these individuals face as they determine what kind of heroes they intend to become.
