Overview
Gate is a television series released in the year 2015 with a TV-14 rating and genres that include action and adventure, animation, comedy, and drama. The series begins on August 20XX, when a gate suddenly appears in the Ginza district of Tokyo. This gate acts as a portal that unleashes monsters, medieval knights, and other fantasy beings from another world who then wreak havoc on Tokyo. In response to the invasion, the Japanese Defense Force takes action against these creatures and pushes them back through the gate. Following this, the Third Reconnaissance Team is dispatched to the Special Region. The team is led by an officer and otaku named Youji Itami. During their travels in this dangerous new world, the group is joined by a beautiful elf girl who is a survivor of a dragon's rampage and serves as their guide.
