Overview
Absolute Duo is an animated television series that originally premiered in 2015. The story follows Tooru Kokonoe, who has enrolled at Kouryou Academy. Kouryou Academy is a school that trains students in wielding Blaze, which are soul-powered weapons, in order to prepare them for the Dorn Agency's special peacekeeping corps. During his time at the academy, Tooru is partnered with a mysterious girl named Julie Sigtuna. As a pair, Tooru finds that he has to overcome many hurdles to ensure that their teamwork and fighting skills are up to par for the duration of their training. The series incorporates elements of animation, comedy, and action and adventure, and carries a TV-MA rating. Additionally, the broader franchise originates from a Japanese light novel series written by Takumi Hiiragiboshi with illustrations by Yū Asaba.
