S21·E2 Bend or Blockbuster

Episode recap

The animated comedy series Family Guy features the adventures of the dysfunctional Griffin family, consisting of bumbling Peter, long-suffering Lois, and their three kids. Among the children are Stewie, a brilliant but sadistic baby bent on killing his mother and taking over the world, and Meg, the oldest. The show is an animated sitcom featuring five main voice actors, with creator Seth MacFarlane providing the voices for characters including Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Glenn Quagmire.

In the season twenty-one episode titled Bend or Blockbuster, the Griffin family resolves to enjoy a family movie night. To accomplish this, the family takes a road trip to Bend, Oregon, with the specific goal of renting a VHS from the very last Blockbuster in existence.

The series itself is an animated and comedy show that has aired across multiple seasons on the Fox Network, following the eccentric and dysfunctional family living in their home. The overarching series is known for its sick, twisted, politically incorrect, and freakin' sweet animated adventures, capturing the dynamics of the Griffin household through various misadventures, road trips, and everyday family scenarios that occasionally take the characters far from home, such as their journey to Oregon for a physical video rental in an increasingly digital world.
