In the season twenty-one premiere episode titled Oscars Guy, the series retells three distinct Oscar-winning stories. The episode features adaptations of the acclaimed films Silence of the Lambs, American Beauty, and Forrest Gump.

The program is known for its sick, twisted, politically incorrect, and freakin' sweet animated style. The series features main voice actors and numerous regular and recurring guest stars. Creator Seth MacFarlane provides the voices for several of the show's primary characters, including Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Glenn Quagmire.
