Eureka 2006

Overview

Eureka is an American science fiction television series that premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel on July 18, 2006. Created by Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia, the show is set in the fictional town of Eureka, Oregon, located in the Pacific Northwest. The town serves as a secret location where the United States government has relocated the world's greatest geniuses and their families to develop futuristic inventions. The narrative begins when U.S. Marshal Jack Carter crashes his car and becomes stranded in the community. Carter eventually assumes the role of sheriff and finds himself managing the chaos that ensues when the local residents unleash experimental scientific creations. The series features performances by Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Erica Cerra, and Neil Grayston. Over the course of its run, the show explored the intersection of innovation and daily life within this secluded environment. The program concluded its broadcast run after five seasons, with the final episode airing on July 16, 2012. The series was also stylized as EUReKA during its original television tenure.
