Overview

Upload is an American science fiction comedy drama television series created by Greg Daniels for Amazon Prime Video. The series is set in the year 2033, a future where individuals near death have the option to be uploaded into virtual reality hotels managed by six technology firms. The story follows Nora, a cash-strapped customer service worker living in Brooklyn who manages the luxurious digital afterlife known as Lakeview. The narrative centers on Nathan, a party-boy and coder from Los Angeles who is permanently uploaded into the virtual world after his self-driving car crashes. Upon his arrival in the digital resort, Nathan meets Nora, who serves as his customer service angel. As Nathan adjusts to his new surroundings, questions regarding the circumstances of his premature death begin to arise. The series premiered on May 1, 2020, with its first season consisting of ten episodes. Subsequent seasons premiered on March 11, 2022, and October 20, 2023. The show features a cast including Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards, and Zainab Johnson.
