Overview

Date A Live is a television series that premiered in 2013. Directed by Keitaro Motonaga, the show features a voice cast that includes Nobunaga Shimazaki, Marina Inoue, Misuzu Togashi, Jessie James Grelle, and Michelle Rojas. The narrative is set in a world plagued by irregular spacequakes, a phenomenon that began thirty years prior when a massive event devastated the center of Eurasia and resulted in the deaths of at least 150 million people. The story follows Shido Itsuka, an ordinary high school student who encounters a mysterious girl at the site of a spacequake. He discovers that she is a Spirit, a being responsible for the catastrophic spacequakes that occur when they manifest in the world. To prevent further destruction and protect mankind, Shido is recruited to utilize his unique ability to seal the powers of these Spirits. This process involves forming a romantic connection with them to stabilize their unstable energy and neutralize the threat they pose to the planet.
