Overview

Brookside is a British television soap opera set in a housing estate on the outskirts of Liverpool, England. Produced by Mersey Television, the series was conceived by Phil Redmond, who also created Grange Hill and Hollyoaks. The program premiered on 2 November 1982 and ran for 21 years, concluding on 4 November 2003. The show depicts the everyday life and times of the residents, friends, and enemies living on the fictional suburban street of Brookside Close.
