RAISED TO BE ONE
In Jesus’ high priestly prayer, offered shortly before his arrest and crucifixion, he prays “not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word.” Christ is praying for his disciples throughout history—to our day—and beyond. Jesus prays for all of us. As Easter people, people of the resurrection, we have died and been raised with Christ. Together we claim this Good News for all time.
