According to Pravda, the Russians launched drones from the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Kursk Oblast at targets in Ukraine. In addition, the Russians also attacked Kharkov with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles launched from Belgorod.

The air strike warning was only in effect for 20 minutes, after which local authorities announced that air defense systems had intercepted 10 missiles fired from Ukraine into the area.

Belgorod Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed on Telegram that an air strike warning had been issued in Belgorod, urging people outdoors to take shelter or go to another safe place.

Mr. Gladkov also confirmed that 10 missiles were intercepted in the sky over the area. In addition, drones were intercepted by Russia in the Moscow and Leningrad provinces of Russia on the night of January 17-18.
