Zoe Michelle Perry is an American actress born on September 26, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. She is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her film debut in Deception in 2008 and also appeared in the independent drama film The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond that same year. Her television work includes recurring roles as Jane on The Family in 2016 and Samantha Ruland on Scandal in 2017. She achieved a breakout role playing Mary Cooper on the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon from 2017 to 2024, a role originally played by her mother on The Big Bang Theory.
