Wolf Kahler is a German actor born in Kiel on April 3, 1940. Active since 1975, he has appeared in numerous English language United States and United Kingdom television and film productions. His film debut was in Stanley Kubrick's 1975 film Barry Lyndon, where he played the Prince of Tübingen. Early in his career, he also portrayed Kaiser Wilhelm II in the adventure film The Riddle of the Sands. One of his most well-known roles is Dietrich in Raiders of the Lost Ark. His later film credits include playing Dr. Hoffmanstahl in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and a German Commander in Wonder Woman. On television, he portrayed a Wehrmacht General in the miniseries Band of Brothers and also appeared in The Sandbaggers. Additionally, his voice appears in video games such as Battalion Wars as Kaiser Vlad, and he appeared in the Ambassador's Reception television advert as the German Ambassador.
