Biography
Taylor Schilling is an American actress known for her portrayal of Piper Chapman in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black. She won the 2013 Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for this role. Schilling was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2014. Her film debut was in the drama Dark Matter, alongside Meryl Streep. Schilling also starred in the short-lived NBC medical drama Mercy and appeared in films such as Atlas Shrugged: Part I and The Lucky One.
