Susan George
Biography
Susan Melody George MBE is an English film and television actress born on 26 July 1950. Her professional career began at the age of twelve with appearances in television plays and commercials. By seventeen, she secured her first starring role opposite Michael York in The Strange Affair. She is best known for her performances in films such as Straw Dogs with Dustin Hoffman, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry with Peter Fonda, and Mandingo with Ken Norton. During the 1970s, she became known for playing provocative roles, leading to her being typecast. Writer Leslie Halliwell described her as a British leading lady and former child actress. She also appeared in the television series The Persuaders in the episode titled The Gold Napoleon.
