Sue Jones‑Davies is a Welsh actress whose career has spanned stage, screen and television. Born on 1 January 1949 in Wales, she began her artistic training while studying at Bristol University, where she met fellow actor and writer Chris Langham. After graduating, she moved to London and subsequently built a body of work that includes nineteen credited performances across film and television. Her most widely recognised screen role is as Judith Iscariot in the 1979 Monty Python film The Life of Brian, a performance that coincided with a local ban on the film’s exhibition in Aberystwyth. In the mid‑1970s she also appeared in the television series Rock Follies of '77; the musical segment she performed with Julie Covington, Rula Lenska and Charlotte Cornwell produced the single “O.K?” which reached number 10 on the UK chart in June 1977.

Beyond her acting work, Jones‑Davies has remained active in public life. After relocating to Aberystwyth with her three sons, she entered local politics, serving as the Plaid Cymru Mayor of Aberystwyth in 2008 and later as a town councillor. Her career reflects a blend of artistic achievement and community involvement, anchored by her Welsh heritage and a repertoire that includes both popular film and television music projects.
