Ryo Ishibashi is a Japanese actor and international celebrity born on July 20, 1956, in Kurume, Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan. Known for acting with ninety-four known credits on the Movie Database, he is also known by the names Hideki Ishibashi and Ryou. He is globally recognized for his roles in the classic Japanese horror films Suicide Club and Audition, as well as for portraying Nakagawa in the American films The Grudge and The Grudge 2. In addition to his acting career, Ishibashi started his own band named the ARB, or Alexander Ragtime Band, in 1977. The band made their debut in 1978 and released over a dozen albums before breaking up in 1990. Ishibashi later resumed his musical activity by reforming ARB with an album titled Real Life in 1998.
