Ronee Blakley, also known as Ronee Sue Blakley, Ronnie Blake, and Roneé Blakley, is an American entertainer, actress, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and director. Born on August 24, 1945, in Nampa, Idaho, she is known for her work in film and television with 37 known acting credits. Her most famous role is the fictional country superstar Barbara Jean in Robert Altman's 1975 film Nashville, for which she won a National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress and received an Academy Award nomination. She also appeared in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street and has been associated with the television show Highway to Heaven.
