Biography
Rob Reiner was an American filmmaker and actor born in The Bronx, New York City, on March 6, 1947. He passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 78. Reiner was born to Estelle and Carl Reiner, who were actors. During a career that spanned comedy, drama, romance, and documentary, he directed a series of acclaimed studio films. His work earned him numerous accolades, including two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Hugo Award, and nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and nine Golden Globe Awards. Reiner received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999 and the Chaplin Gala Tribute at the Film at Lincoln Center in 2014, and three of his films were inducted into the National Film Registry.
