Biography
Retta, born Marietta Sirleaf, is an American stand-up comedian and actress best known for her role as Donna Meagle on NBC's Parks and Recreation. She graduated from Duke University and initially worked in pharmaceutical research before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue comedy. Retta began performing stand-up in 1996, though she stated she did not begin earning money from comedy until 1998 when she started touring on the college circuit. She has appeared in various films and television shows and has performed stand-up on Comedy Central's Premium Blend. Retta is originally from New Jersey.
