Philippe Noiret was a French film actor born on October 1, 1930, in Lille, France. He attended several prestigious Paris schools, including the Lycée Janson de Sailly, and trained at the Centre Dramatique de l'Ouest. Noiret developed a career as a nightclub comedian in a duo act with Jean-Pierre Darras, and he toured with the Théâtre National Populaire for seven years. He married Monique Chaumette in 1962. Noiret is known for his acting career, which spanned over 174 credits. He passed away on November 23, 2006, at the age of 76.
