Nicole Scherzinger was born on June 29, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. She was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and attended a performing arts high school, where she won the Coca-Cola Classic Talent Contest. She furthered her studies at Wright State University, majoring in theater arts. Scherzinger's early career included a role as lead vocalist in the female pop group Eden's Crush, formed on the premiere season of the WB's television show "Popstars" in 2000. She also performed with Japanese superstar Yoshiki Hayashi and made guest appearances on the television show "My Wife and Kids." Scherzinger is known for her work as a member of The Pussycat Dolls.
