Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American artist known professionally by that name. She is a rapper, singer, and songwriter, as well as an actress and voice actress. Minaj was born on December 8, 1982. She lived with her grandmother in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago as a small child before moving to New York City to live with her parents at the age of five.
