She developed an interest in acting after enrolling in a high school drama class to help overcome extreme shyness. She then auditioned and was accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Southern California on a scholarship, where she began her formal training as an actor. Greene is perhaps most well-known for her television role as attorney Abigail Abby Perkins in the series L.A. Law, which she played from 1986 to 1991. She later returned to the role in 2002 for the television reunion film L.A. Law: The Movie. Her acting career includes numerous credits across film and television.
