Michael Canavan
Biography
Michael Canavan (born August 17, 1953, in Portsmouth, Virginia) is an American actor known for his work in film, television, and theater. He has appeared in notable films including The Island (2005), Striking Distance (1993), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Hidalgo (2004), and Murder by Numbers. His television credits feature recurring roles on shows such as 7th Heaven, Hunter, and General Hospital, with guest appearances on Grey’s Anatomy, Mad Men, Bones, Criminal Minds, and Entourage. Canavan is also an accomplished stage actor with credits from prestigious theaters including Goodman Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Additionally, he has done voice work, narrating the Bible for Warner New Media and voicing the Marquis de Sade for the History Channel. He has been married to actress Shannon Cochran since June 14, 2003
