Maggie May Baird is an American actress, activist, singer-songwriter, and screenwriter born on March 29, 1959, in Fruita, Colorado. She studied dance and theater at the University of Utah and performed on Broadway after moving to New York City. Baird made her television debut in 1981 in the soap opera Another World and her film debut in the 1989 movie An Innocent Man. After relocating to Los Angeles in 1991, she became a teacher and member of the Groundlings improvisational theatre school. Her television credits include Six Feet Under, The X-Files, and Bones. She is also known for the film Life Inside Out and is the mother of musicians Finneas and Billie Eilish.
