Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora is an American actress born on August 18, 1958, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Mireya Maria Mora Steinvorth and civil engineer Robert Alfred Stowe. Raised in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, she is married to actor Brian Benben, whom she met on the set of the miniseries The Gangster Chronicles. The couple married in 1982 and have one daughter, May Theodora. In addition to her professional career, Stowe has spent time living on a ranch in Texas, choosing to step back from Hollywood at various points to focus on her family life. She is recognized for her extensive work in both television and film.
