Lauren Bowles is an actress and writer born on March 24, 1970, in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. She majored in drama at New York University. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is her maternal half-sister. Bowles has appeared in numerous television shows, including Arrested Development, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Judging Amy, and Private Practice. She has appeared with Louis-Dreyfus in Seinfeld as a waitress at the diner, as well as in The New Adventures of Old Christine, Watching Ellie, and Veep. She has also appeared in feature films. In April 2010, she was cast as the Wiccan character Holly Cleary in the vampire television series True Blood. Additionally, she appears on XM radio's Take Five channel, doing features for their Five Minute Magazine.
