Ryan Kwanten is an Australian actor and producer born on November 28, 1976, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He began his acting career in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, where he played Vinnie Patterson from 1997 to 2002. Kwanten then transitioned to American television, appearing in the series Summerland and True Blood, where he portrayed Jason Stackhouse from 2008 to 2014. He has also produced and starred in the crime drama series The Oath and appeared in the horror drama anthology series Them and Kindred, based on the novel by Octavia E. Butler.
