Overview
Veronica Mars is an American teen neo-noir mystery drama television series created by screenwriter Rob Thomas. The series premiered on September 22, 2004, on the television network UPN. Set in the fictional town of Neptune, California, the show stars Kristen Bell as the title character. The narrative follows Veronica Mars as she progresses from high school to college while moonlighting as a private investigator under the tutelage of her father, a former county sheriff. The series explores her efforts to crack the toughest mysteries in the affluent town, a mission that begins after her best friend is murdered. The cast also includes Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, and Percy Daggs III. The show aired on UPN from 2004 to 2006 and on The CW from 2006 to 2007. Following a twelve-year hiatus, Hulu produced an eight-episode fourth season that premiered on July 19, 2019.
