Julie Engelbrecht is an actress born in Paris, France on June 30, 1984. She is the daughter of actress Constanze Engelbrecht and made her acting debut at the age of twelve alongside her mother in the 1996 television film Adieu, mon ami. She later attended the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Hamburg from 2004 to 2007. Engelbrecht gained recognition for playing Valerie Ulmendorff in the 2005 to 2006 miniseries Mutig in die neuen Zeiten, earning a 2007 Undine Award nomination for best young actress in a television film. Her other acting credits include roles as Johanna Palmquist in the 2008 television movie Rasmus and Johanna, which is based on the Inga Lindstrom series, and as Ilse in the 2008 film The Red Baron.
