Jonathan Aris is a British stage, film, and television actor born in London, England, on January 24, 1971. He is the son of the late British character actor Ben Aris. Before training as an actor at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, he studied painting at Camberwell School of Art and read Russian and Italian at Cambridge University.
Known primarily for character roles, Aris has appeared in television and film projects including The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, Sherlock, Andor, and Peep Show. He has also narrated television documentaries produced and aired by the National Geographic Channel and provided voice-overs for television commercials and documentary narration.
