John Donald Fiedler was an American actor born in Platteville, Wisconsin, on February 3, 1925. Known by some as Johnny F, he had a career lasting more than 55 years across stage, film, television, and radio. The son of an Irish-German beer salesman, Fiedler decided to become an actor during his childhood. He began his professional career on the stage before transitioning to live television in New York. Later, during the 20 years he lived in Hollywood from 1960 to 1980, he appeared in numerous films and popular television series. As a busy character actor, Fiedler made both his face and voice recognizable to millions. He passed away on June 25, 2005, at the age of 80 in Englewood, New Jersey.
