Andrew James Matfin Bell, born 14 March 1986 in Billingham, Stockton on Tees, England, is an English actor. He made his debut in Billy Elliot (2000), a performance that earned him the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and made him one of the youngest winners of that honour. Bell is recognised for leading roles as Tintin in The Adventures of Tintin (2011) and as Ben Grimm/Thing in Fantastic Four (2015). His film work also includes King Kong (2005), Jumper (2008), Snowpiercer (2013), Rocketman (2019) and All of Us Strangers (2023). He received a second BAFTA nomination for Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (2017) and has appeared on television as Abraham Woodhull.
