Hiroshi Nishikiori
Biography
Hiroshi Nishikiori is a Japanese anime director born on May 20, 1966, in Kyoto, Japan. He has directed numerous anime series and films. His debut was in 1999 with I'm Gonna Be An Angel. He directed Angelic Layer in 2001, which won the Animation Kobe in the television category. Nishikiori also directed the anime adaptation of Azumanga Daioh in 2002. He contributed to The Very Short Movie as director, writer, and storyboard artist. From 2008 to 2019, he directed the anime adaptation of A Certain Magical Index and its theatrical film. In 2020, he directed From Argonavis. Nishikiori has directed over 40 known credits.
