Grigoriy Eduardovich Dobrygin is a Russian film and theatre actor, director, and producer born on February 17, 1986, in Rybachiy, Vilyuchinsk, Kamchatskaya oblast, RSFSR. He studied at a school in Zelenograd, Moscow Oblast, and graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography in the Bolshoi Theatre as a classically trained ballet dancer. In 2010, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts. Dobrygin had his breakout role as the first Russian superhero in his first movie, Black Lightning, in 2009. He gained worldwide recognition for his role in the 2010 film How I Ended This Summer. His first English language movie was A Most Wanted Man in 2014, in which he co-starred with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Rachel McAdams.
